Thermax Wins Order For Co-generation Plants Worth INR 5030 Million
The Thermax Group has concluded an INR 5030 million order from a leading public sector fertiliser company to set up three natural gas based EPC co-generation plants (each of 20 MW capacity) at its facilities in Haryana and Punjab. With a combination of GTGs (Gas-Turbine-Generator) and HRSGs (Heat Recovery-Steam Generator), the project will generate power for captive use and steam for process simultaneously - as part of the customer's drive to save energy while reducing dependence on fossil fuel.
"The thrust on co-generation for saving energy costs has increasingly gained importance among our customers where we have secured recent orders. As a solution provider in the energy and environment space with proven expertise in EPC cogen plants, we see a promising outlook across sectors in this sphere," says M.S. Unnikrishnan, MD & CEO, Thermax Limited.
The scope of supply includes design, engineering, manufacturing, construction and commissioning of the cogeneration plants. The project is to be completed in 22 months.
