NBCC Bags Order Worth INR 2280 Million
State-owned Navratna PSU NBCC(India) Limited, under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), has bagged an order of INR 2280 million for the redevelopment of World Health Organisation (WHO) - SEARO building in New Delhi. In presence of Shri Jaggat Prakash Nadda, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India, a Tripartite Memorandum of Agreement was signed among Smt. Preeti Sudan, Secretary, MoHFW; Smt. Poonam Khetrapal Singh, Regional Director WHO-SEARO and Shri Rajendra Chaudhari, Director (Commercial), NBCC (I) Limited. Another bipartite agreement was signed between Shri Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary (International Health) MoHFW and Director (Commercial), NBCC.
NBCC has been awarded the work as Project Management Consultant (PMC) for construction and redevelopment of the building. NBCC will be responsible for Designing, Construction and Procurement of the project.
The WHO-SEARO office in New Delhi acts as the regional office for the organisation in South-East Asia and provides leadership on health matters, articulates evidence-based policy options, provides technical support to countries in the region and monitors health trends.
