KP Energy Bags Wind Power Project In Gujarat
KP Energy Limited participated as lead bidder along with consortium partner a foreign Independent Power Producer (IPP) Evergreen Power Mauritius Private Limited, in the competitive bidding process under Gujarat 500 MW GUVNL wind tender.
1.Lowest Price Win:
The Consortium of Evergreen Power Mauritius Private Limited (Independent Power Producer - IPP) and K P Energy Limited won 30 MW wind power project to be set up in the state of Gujarat at the discovered tariff rate of Rs. 2.43/kWh, lowest rate so far.
Creditworthiness and consistent payment track record of off-taker was principle reason behind aggressive bidding. High Power Generating Wind Site selection having proven wind velocity and execution capability in all terrains has lead KP Energy win the bid at most competitive rates.
2.Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) over 40%:
The Wind Turbine Generator - WTG (Technology) would be finalized based on the techno-commercial evaluation of proposals on hand from the several options available to the consortium. This project will have CUF 40% and will be executed and developed at site Mahuva - II under SPV. No pre-bid tie-up in advance is in itself a precedent for Wind Energy Sector.
3. Execution Period less than mandated 18 months:
The present readiness of K P Energy Mahuva - II site will enable project completion much ahead of bid deadline of 18 months.
