Jain Irrigation bags Maharashtra's First "Har Khet No Pani"Future Ready Micro Irrigation Project
Jain Irrigation MIS division, pioneer and leader of micro irrigation business in India has bagged an order for prestigious Waghur canal integrated irrigation project through e-tendering process. The owner of the project is Tapi Irrigation Development Corporation, Government of Maharashtra. Considering the limitations of the traditional irrigation projects, current land acquisition challenges and resistance from the farmers to accept open canal networks, the Waghur Canal project will be implemented with pressurized HDPE/PVC pipe distribution in command area of 16,536 acres in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra state.
This project has planned to improve Water Use Efficiency up to 50- 55% ( from existing 35%) in canal command areas by using Pressurized Piped Distribution Network ( PDN) and on- farm Micro Irrigation (Drip/Sprinkler) system as per the mandate of Gol under Prime Minister Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY). The network will be FUTURE READY so that farmers can adopt Drip Irrigation system. The project will fulfill the national agenda 'HAR KHET KO PAM' and "MORE CROP PER DROP". This will ensure higher productivity and sustainable income for farmers.

This addition to the already Strong order-book, re-emphasizes JISL's leadership position, product offering and enlarged credentials for upcoming agricultural & irrigation infrastructure upgrade i n the country."
