Gujarat Gas Receives Order For Natural Gas Distribution Network From PNGRB
Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has issued letter for Grant of Authorization to Gujarat Gas Limited (GGL) for laying, building, operating or expand ing the City or Local Natural Gas Distribution network ("CGD network") in the Geographical Areas of Sirsa, Fatehabad and Mansa (Punjab) Districts; Ujjain (except area already authorized) District, Dewas (except area already authorized) District and Indore (except area already authorized) District; Jhabua, Banswara, Ratlam and Dungarpur Districts; Ferozepur, Faridkot and Sri Muktsar Sahib Districts; Hoshiarpur and Gurdaspur Districts; Jalore and Sirohi Districts. GGL has accepted the authorization in Schedule 0 of the PNGRB vide a confirmation letter to the PNGRB on 3rd April 2019.
As per the provisions of the PNGRB (Exclusivity for City or Local Natural Gas Distribution Networks) Regulation, 2008, GGL has been granted 300 months of infrastructure exclusivity i.e. valid up to March 28, 2044, and 96 months of marketing exclusivity valid up to March 28, 2027 for the above mentioned 6 CGD networks. Further, the Authorised areas for laying, building, operating or expand ing the proposed CGD Network in the above-mentioned GAs shall cover a geographical area of9,013 sq. km. in Sirsa, Fatehabad and Mansa (Punjab) Districts; 16,614 sq. km. in Ujjain (except area already authorized) District, Dewas (except area already authorized) District and Indore (except area already authorized) District; 16,753 sq. km. in Jhabua, Banswara, Ratlam and Dungarpur Districts; 6,950 sq. km. in Ferozepur, Faridkot and Sri Muktsar Sahib Districts; 5,986 sq. km. in Hoshiarpur and Gurdaspur Districts and 15,776 sq. km. in Jalore and Sirohi Districts.
