Tender To Be Called For Chennai-Kanniyakumari Industrial Corridor

The Highways Department of Tamil Nadu government has declared that tender will be called for phase I of Chennai-Kanniyakumari Industrial Corridor covering 654 km at a total cost of Rs. 6,448 crore by March and construction will be start as soon as possible. Land acquisition is under progress for proposed Industrial Corridor project. The project consist of 23 bypasses and 10 road over bridges and it will be founded by Asian Development Bank. Land acquisition cost of Rs.1,574 crore would be borne by the State government, using which 463 hectares would be acquired. The state government already invited tender for detail project report of second phase covering total length of 1,181 km.
