South Central Railway And Singareni Collieries Inked Pact For New Rail Line

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between South Central Railway (SCR) and Singareni Collieries Ltd for new rail line at Sattupalli region. The new railway line between Bhadrachalam Road-Sattupalli jointly developed by SCR and SCCL. The purpose of new rail line is transporting coal from mines located closer to SCCL in the Sattupalli area. Singarenei Collieries already given Rs. 200 Cr cheque to South Central Railway. The Proposed rail line was approved in 2010-11 with condition of land cost will be responsible by SCR and Construction cost by Singareni Collieries. In 2017, the Railway Authority sanctioned this proposal with total project cost of Rs. 704 Cr.
