The Board of Directors of RCCPL Private Limited (formerly known as Reliance Cement Company Private Limited) (a wholly owned subsidiary of Birla Corporation Limited) at their Board Meeting has approved the proposal to set up a 3.90 million tons Greenfield Integrated Cement Plant at Mukutban (Maharashtra) with 40 MW Captive Power Plant and 10.60 MW Waste Heat Recovery System.

7 | Rationale | The current operation of the Company is mainly in the Central region with a grinding Unit at Butibori near Nagpur in Maharashtra. The Board has approved to set up an integrated Cement Plant in Yavatmal, Maharashtra. The Company has already acquired land and has mineral concession required for the project. The proposed location is well connected with Rail and Road network. The proposed plant has already received environment clearance. Maharashtra is one of the fastest growing states with highest Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) and is a cement deficit State. The project is entitled to an attractive fiscal incentive Government of Maharashtra. |
