Rallis India Suspends Operation In Ankelashwar Unit, Gujarat
Rallis India Limited clarifies on the suspension of operations at Ankleshwar unit of the company.
1. Details of steps taken to restore normalcy and the impact of the natural calamity/other force majeure events on production or service, financials of the entity
The Gujarat Pollution Control Board had, on is" March 2019, directed the Company to suspend the operations at one of its units in Ankleshwar, Gujarat due to a flash fire caused during transfer operations. Further, it was also informed that there was no environmental or material impact to the plant due to the flash fire. Since then the affected plant has undergone thorough investigation and has also put in place enhanced controls for avoiding re-occurrence of such an incident. The corrective actions Technical recommendations are being implemented and an external validation IS underway. The suspension of the operations at the Ankleshwar unit will not affect the financial performance of the Company at this stage as the production requirements for FY 2018-19 have already been met and enough inventory is in place to absorb the stoppage. Further, the scheduled annual shut down of 30 days which was planned from 1st April, 2019 has been brought forward to mitigate any financial impact.
2. The actual amount of damage caused due to the natural calamity or other force Majeure event
There is no damage to the asset due to flash fire.
3. Insurance amount claimed and realized by the listed entity for the loss/damage
Since there is no damage to the asset, there is no insurance amount claimed by the Company
