PricewaterhouseCoopers Appointed As Consultant For Jewar Airport Expansion
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has been appointed as consultant by Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority to study whether the upcoming Jewar airport in Greater Noida can have four or six runways . According to report published by ET PwC will study the financial implication of the expansion. The Authority given four months time for the study. Currently, two runways are proposed, but they want to see the feasibility of 4 or 6 runways.To build and operate contract of Jewar Airport in Greater Noida won by Zurich Airports for a period of 40 years that includes construction period of four years in the first phase. The UP govt has allotted 5000 hectare land in Jewar on Yamuna express for aviation and transport hub. About 1300 hectare land will be handed over to Zurich Airports for the development of airport in the first phase.The Jewar airport will act as a second airport fro national capital region, where, a study completed by government stated, that the current airport is set to exhaust its capacity of over 100 million by 2023-24– the air terminal in Jewar is relied upon to begin activities around a similar time.
