Kasarwadavali To Gaimukh Metro-4A Receives Cabinet Nod: MMRDA
The State Cabinet of Maharashtra gave a green signal to the 2.7-km long Kasarwadavali to Gaimukh Metro-4A corridor. This corridor is the extension to the 32-km long Wadala-Ghatkopar-Mulund-Thane-Kasarwadavali Metro-4 corridor which was demanded by the locals.
The 2.7-km Kasarwadavali to Gaimukh Metro-4A corridor will have two elevated stations – Govanipada and Gaimukh – and will cost Rs.949 crore. Courtesy this corridor the ridership on the entire Wadala-Kasarwadavali-Gaimukh Metro corridor is expected to increase from 8.7 lakh to 10.2 lakh commuters daily in the year 2021.
It’s a boost to the State Government’s vision of creating more than 275-km long Metro network in the city as also its metropolitan region.
