Himachal Pradesh CM Lays Foundation Stone Of Major Irrigation Scheme At Pooh
A major irrigation scheme would be constructed in Gram Panchayat Spillo of Kinnaur district from Lipa to Korla by spending rupees six crores and the state government would also sympathetically consider to further extend the time period of Noutor in tribal area ending in December this year to benefit the tribal people.
This was stated by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing a public meeting at Pooh in Kinnaur district on Friday after laying the foundation stone of lift irrigation scheme at Pooh to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 5.73 crore. This scheme would provide irrigation facilities to the 230-hectare area.
The Chief Minister announced Rs. 50 lakh for construction of Namgyan irrigation canal, Rs. 50 lakh for the construction of Community Culture Centre at Roopa village, Rs. 50 lakh for construction of irrigation scheme from Raman to Gyaban and Rs. 10 lakh for Community Hall at Titang in Dubling Panchayat. He said that lift irrigation scheme Gyaban from Roopa Khad to Choti Shive and flood protection work in Dubling village would be carried out and he directed the district administration to prepare an estimate for the same.
Later, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of Urban Mission Scheme at Moorang to be completed at a cost of Rs 15 crore and inaugurated newly constructed building of PHC Rarang at Moorang constructed at a cost of Rs. 74.50 lakh.
He announced to provide Rs. 70 lakh for Timche irrigation kuhal at Murang.In the evening, the Chief Minister arrived at district headquarters Reckong Peo and laid the foundation stone of Sub-Jail Bhawan Dakho to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 4.26 crore and inaugurated district-level conference hall constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.55 crore.
He laid the foundation stone of District Panchayat Resource Centre to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.50 crore.
He inaugurated Mini Stadium at Reckong Peo constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.38 crore and also laid the foundation stone of water supply scheme of Kalpa at Reckong Peo to be completed at a cost of Rs. 3.26 crore.
