Himachal Pradesh CM Lays Foundation Stone Of 1st Double Lane Cable Stay Bridge Over Beas River
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur laid the foundation stone of 100-meter span motorable double lane cable stay bridge over Beas river on Hanogi Kholanala road in district Mandi to be constructed by spending an amount of Rs. 15.85 crore.
While addressing the gathering on the occasion, Chief Minister said that this bridge would ensure better connectivity between Seraj and Drang area of the district. He said that this bridge would prove an added attraction for the local people as well as the tourists. He said that this would be the first double lane cable stay bridge in the State and would be completed within two years.
Chief Minister announced Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 5 lakh each for construction of Bandi-Kanda road, Kandi-Badodiya road and Keradi road respectively. He also announced upgradation of Primary School Kukhlah to Middle School. He also announced the opening of veterinary dispensary and Health Sub Centre at Sharti. He said that Science Block would be constructed at Government Senior Secondary School Sharti. He also announced Rs 10 lakh for Gram Panchayat Bandi for various developmental works. He also announced Rs 5 lakh for construction of a helipad at Karthach-Kandudhar.
