Hatsun Agro Plans For Expansion
Hatsun Agro Product Limited has informed that the board directors of the company at its meeting updated the following:
A) Milk / Curd:
The commissioning of greenfield project in Dharapuram, Tamil Nadu with a capacity of 5 LLPD is in progress. This will help cater to the nearby Coimbatore region markets.
B) Ice Cream:
The company plans to install state-of-art extrusion machine to manufacture Ice Cream in Salem Plant in Tamil Nadu. With this machine ,the capacity to manufacture ice cream will be increased from 17,000 pcs per hour to 65,000 pcs per hour. The commercial production is expected to start by March 2018.
The company has commenced pilot production of Mozzarella cheese in one of its plants in Tamil Nadu to feed its frozen food products line and has plans to launch B2C Cheese Products.
D) Solar Energy:
As a part of green energy initiatives, our company has successfully installed solar systems in about 10,000 plus milk collection centres with 100 watts capacity each, situated in various villages in Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Telangana and Maharashtra to cope up with the frequent power outages in the rural areas.Our company has also installed solar systems in 3 of its plants with a total capacity of 800 KW and is in the process of installing another 2600 KW in 4 of its plants.
E) Frozen Food Products:
The company under its brand "OYALO" has plans to install new production equipment in one of its plants in Tamil Nadu to produce Frozen Food Products from July 2018 to meet its growing demands.
The company, which has wide distribution network of its products, plans to construct a state-of-art training centre having capacity to train up to 12000 persons to impart training to all its employees and franchisees covering Hatsun Daisy, IBACO, CFAs and HMBs, etc. in order to equip and upgrade their professional skills in their respective areas besides equipping them with latest knowledge on our products and offerings.
The company plans to start commercial production of yoghurts such as Greek Yoghurt, Stirred Yoghurt, Drinking Yoghurt and Shrikant by March 2018.
The Company is in the process of installing a separate product line to manufacture chocolate in one of its Plants to meet its own additional demands and also to explore the premium segment of chocolate. This is expected to start commercial production by April 2018.
I) In-house Fresh Fruit Processing for Arun and IBACO:
The company plans to prepare processing of fresh fruits to meets its captive requirements for Arun and IBACO ice creams which not only enhances the taste but would also makes the ice cream more wholesome.
