Foundation Stone Laid For Vigyan Kendra In Haryana
Haryana Science and Technology Minister, Mr. Anil Vij laid the foundation stone of ‘Vigyan Kendra’ to be established at Ambala at a cost of Rs. 35 crore.
On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Science and Technology Department and the National Council of Science Museum.
Addressing the gathering present on the occasion, Mr. Anil Vij said that Vigyan Kendra, which will be established near War Memorial in Ambala Cantonment, will undoubtedly attract the younger generation towards science and people from far areas will come here to see the rules of science. He said that this Vigyan Kendra will be built over five acres and will be ready within three years. He said that this Vigyan Kendra will also have arrangements for constellations, innovation hubs, exhibit development labs and Science Park.
Mr. Vij said that this will be the first such Kendra of Haryana in which new technologies of science will also be available and science professionals can avail the benefits of these technologies. He said that this Vigyan Kendra will also have an exhibition based on Science subject, in which children will learn theories of science through games.
Principal Secretary, Science and Technology Department, Dr. Ashok Khemka said that this Vigyan Kendra will be completed in a time bound manner with the help of National Council of Science Museums, Union Ministry of Culture and Kolkata team.
