The Mumbai based Epsilon Carbon is setting up of new carbon black manufacturing unit in Bellary district of Karnataka with an investment of 900 Crore. The total capacity of the plant will be 3,00,000 TPA. The plant will be completed in two phases. With investment of Rs 425 Cr the first phase would be commissioned in third quarter of FY 21. At Present Epsilon Carbon's coal tar distillation capacity is 220,000TPA, with the new carbon black facility, the company will cater to the tyre, tubes and other rubber-based auto parts segments. The new plant will be gas-based and will be using waste coke oven gas from JSW steel.
