Energy Development Company's Subsidiary In Kerala Disrupts Operations Due To Floods

Energy Development Company Limited has informed that due to heavy rain and cloudburst, the powerhouse and control room of 7 MW Ullunkal Hydro Electric Project in the State of Kerala operated via Company's wholly owned-subsidiary namely, EDCL Power Projects Limited has got totally submerged in water during midnight of 14th August midnight 2018. Consequently, generation of electricity at the said plant has stopped. The Operation & Management team is safe. The company shall keep media informed about the further developments.
