CMI Energy Gets RDSO Approval
CMI Energy India Private Limited a wholly owned subsidiary of CMI Limited having its plant at Baddi, District Solan, Himachal Pradesh has been lncluded in the list of "RDSO vendors for development order for signalling and Telecom items" for Indian Railways.
Since CMI limited having its plant at Faridabad is already on the forefront of supplying cables to the Indian Railways, and now with the RDSO approval for its Baddi plant too with the increased capacity to manufacture Railway Cables, the company will start procuring fresh Railway business directly for its Baddi Plant.
Expansion and modernisation of Railway network is the main focus area of the government, besides safety & maintenance of Railway tracks because of which Railway capex was pegged at Rs 1.48 lakh crore, up from Rs 1.311akh crore last year. "Increase in use of technology and the outlay increased will definitely increase our share in the Cable industry" - says Amit Jain, CMD of the Company.
