AGI Glaspac Expanding Capacity To Ramp Up Exports

AGI glaspac, the Packaging Division of HSIL Ltd, planning to expand the production capacity, which could be either brownfield expansion or with a new plant elsewhere. The decision will be taken in three-four months.The company has installed capacity of 1,600 tonnes per day. About 10 per cent of the total production is exported and this may be doubled with expansion. AGI glaspac has invested so far ₹150 crore in technology upgradation and this will improve the manufacturing line to produce lighter bottles and reuse glass which will operational in a two months. In Renewable power business the company has set up 8.5 MW of solar photo-voltaic power generation capacity and the capacity will expandable upto 18 MW within three months.
